CAIROS is a peer-to-peer lending platform (P2P lending) that allows borrowers and lenders to connect directly, without going through a traditional bank. This allows both parties to get better rates.
Yes, CAIROS operates in compliance with French and European regulations applicable to crowdfunding. Funds are managed by approved payment service providers (PSPs).
CAIROS charges a commission on funded loans. There are no processing fees for borrowers, nor registration fees for lenders. All fees are clearly displayed before any transaction.
For borrowers
To borrow on CAIROS, you must be of legal age, reside in France, have regular income and not be registered with FICP. Identity verification (KYC) is mandatory.
You can borrow from EUR 500 to EUR 50,000, depending on your profile and repayment capacity. The maximum amount will be determined when reviewing your application.
The interest rate is determined based on your risk profile, loan duration and requested amount. The stronger your profile, the better the rate.
Yes, you can repay your loan early at any time, without additional fees. You will only pay interest due up to the early repayment date.
For lenders
You can invest from EUR 20 per loan. This allows you to diversify your investments across multiple projects and spread the risks.
Returns vary depending on the risk level of loans. On average, lenders can expect an annual return between 4% and 10%, after deduction of potential defaults.
In case of late payment, CAIROS implements recovery procedures. If the borrower defaults, the lender may lose all or part of their investment. This is why we recommend diversifying your investments.
Security
Yes, all your data is encrypted and stored securely, in compliance with GDPR. We never share your personal information with third parties without your consent.
Your funds are held by an approved payment service provider (PSP), separated from CAIROS accounts. In case of platform issues, your funds remain protected.
Payments
Repayments are automatically debited each month from the borrower's bank account. Lenders receive their repayments directly to their CAIROS account.
You can withdraw your earnings at any time from your personal space. Transfers are made within 2 to 3 business days to your bank account.
